I had the opportunity to share my thoughts in the Toronto Star about the "Culture Connects" initiative, which aims to invest in Toronto’s arts scene. The focus on city-wide investments and global markets is promising, but I believe it’s crucial to foster genuine diversity—not just in melanin, but in thought. Without this, we risk perpetuating tired narratives in BIPOC-centered arts, which many artists, myself included, are increasingly weary of being financially incentivized to produce.

We were requested for an interview by Russia Today to discuss the controversy surrounding the release of our documentary, “The Rise of Jordan Peterson” directed by my wife, Patricia Marcoccia of Holding Space Films.
Notice how on this Putin-controlled platform, the host continues to direct the conversation towards divisive culture war politics, rather than discussing the film itself. A stark reminder that when the West misbehaves, the East watch with a megaphone and a microscope – and vice versa.

This is where the SIGGRAPH group (Special Interest Group on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques) works to shortlist the animation nominees for the Academy Awards.
